WHO REQUIRES THIS QUALIFICATION?
This qualification is designed for learners working in, or aspiring to work in the construction industry.
Its objective is to prepare learners for employment in construction, giving learners the knowledge required to undertake their jobs safely. Successful learners who also complete the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment knowledge test can apply for the CSCS Labourer’s card.
WHAT DOES THE QUALIFICATION COVER?
- The principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work
- The importance of safe manual handling in the workplace
- The importance of working safely at height in the workplace
- Risks to health within a construction environment
- The importance of working around plant and equipment safely
Once you have completed the online training you will be assessed by a multiple-choice question exam which will be remotely invigilated by Highfield. Argus staff will contact you to book the remote invigilation/exam.
The exam for this qualification contains 40 questions that must be completed within 60 minutes. This qualification is assessed as pass/fail. Successful learners must achieve a score of at least 32 out of 40 (80%) to gain a pass. If you fail the end-of-course exam, you have the option to retake the remote exam with Highfield at a cost of £37.80 inc VAT.
